Judging from what we’ve seen from the past few FIFA eSports events, professional FIFA players have normalised the use of back post crosses to find the back of the net, making crossing the new ‘meta’.
To successfully find the back of the net from crossing positions you need tall players with high physicality, capable of out-jumping most centre-backs and getting on the end of crosses. The ideal players for this would be Cristiano Ronaldo and – flashback – Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but not everybody has them at their disposal.

So, here’s a look at eight physical strikers you can sign for under 50k coins to get on the end of back post headers and much more;
It’s worth noting that the FUT market is constantly in flux, so player prices may vary.

1. CL Moussa Marega

Price: 38k
Moussa Marega might not be able to pull off overpowered moves like the La Croqueta because of his three-star skill rating, but give him accurate crosses and he’ll give you loads of goals.
Standing at 6’1 [1.85m] and boasting 78 jumping along with 90 heading accuracy and you can’t go wrong with having Marega in your team.
Marega’s dominance in the air isn’t his only ability, though, he’s also great at running in behind as he’s got 91 pace.
Should you apply an Engine or Sniper chemistry style on Marega’s FUT item he’ll be great with the ball at his feet as well, as both chem styles will take his overall dribbling stat from 75 to 82 and 83 respectively.

2. IF Mario Mandzukic

Price: 48k
Ronaldo might be the Juventus man that everybody wants, but if you’re short on coins, look no further than his teammate Mario Mandzukic to exploit overpowered crosses.
With 73 pace, Mandzukic isn’t ideal for running in behind, you’ll have to exploit his height of 6’3 [1.9m] and heading ability to really enjoy using him.
All you need are fast wingers running down the flanks to deliver crosses to Mandzukic, as his 95 heading accuracy will ensure he heads most crosses he connects with into the back of the net.

3. Second IF Yussuf Poulsen

Price: 44k
Yussuf Poulsen’s second in-form card is extremely similar to Cristiano Ronaldo in terms of aerial prowess. The Danish striker is 6’4 [1.93m], but he has 89 jumping, which is absolutely ridiculous for a player of his height.
There’s hardly any defender capable of beating SIF Poulsen in the air, as his height and jumping stat combo makes him too overpowered the moment he leaps to head the ball – in some instances he probably won’t even need to jump, he’s tall enough to just head the ball in without jumping.
Poulson also boasts 99 attacking positioning – an important stat that indicates a player’s ability to get himself in the right position for a through ball, tap-in or header.
Despite being huge, Poulsen’s agility is rated 85, but his balance is quite low at 62, so you won’t be able to make sharp turns with Poulsen under pressure.

4. Romelu Lukaku

Price: 37k
There aren’t many strikers more dominant in the air than Romelu Lukaku on FIFA 19. The left-footed Belgian stands at 6’3 [1.9m] and boasts 94 strength, which allows him to shrug just about anybody off the ball .
His high strength rating also prevents significantly weaker players from being able to leap for an aerial challenge.
It’s worth noting that Lukaku isn’t a player you acquire to perform skill moves and run with the ball – his primary role in your team should be to get on the end of crosses and cutbacks – and of course to run in behind when presented with an opportunity to do so, thanks to his sprint speed stat (90).
Lukaku would benefit more from a Shadow chemistry style than one suited for attackers because of the +15 sprint speed boost, giving him an overall pace rating of 96.

5. Second In-Form Luka Jovic

Price: 43k
SIF Luka Jovic is easily one of the best Bundesliga strikers on FIFA 19. He’s not just good in the air, but he’s also capable of taking players on, making quick lay-offs and holding up play.
With a Hunter chemistry style, Jovic’s pace goes up to 95 from 85, whilst his overall shooting stat gets bumped up to 94.
Jovic has decent balance for a player who’s 6ft [1.83m] tall. His balance is rated 76, whilst his agility is rated 87, allowing him to make sharp turns fairly quickly.
He’s also got a 5-star weak foot, which allows him to shoot with both feet, thus eliminating the need to take an extra touch to get him on his stronger foot.
Whip in a good cross and Jovic will probably head it in, thanks to his 94-rated heading accuracy.

6. Ultimate Scream Dost

Price: 24k
Bas Dost is something of a banter player in Ultimate Team because of how frequently he appears in packs, as well as his investment potential when 83 rated players are required for an SBC. In the current META, though, ‘Prime Icon’ Dost’s Ultimate Scream card is insanely overpowered.
The 6’5 [1.96m] Dutchman has 96 pace, 94 heading accuracy, 92 strength and 87 finishing, all of which make him a powerhouse in attack, always ready to get on the end of a cross or bulldoze his way past an opponent’s backline.

7. Second IF Djaniny

Price: 29k
SIF Djaniny is an absolute machine in attack. The only downside to his card are the chemistry links, as he’s from Cape Verde and plays in the Saudi League, so he’s difficult to fit in a starting line-up.
That being said, he still performs effectively as a super sub on 5 chemistry, given he has all the right stats to do so.
Boasting 4 star skill moves and a 4 star skill combo Djaniny can La Croqueta his way into your opponent’s box before finding the back of the net, or instead of going through all that trouble, he could simply get on the end of crosses thanks to his 6’3 [1.9m] frame.
He’s got 88 strength, 88 pace and 83 agility, making him a supremely effective forward.

8. Second IF Arnautovic

Price: 50k
SIF Arnautovic is one of the best cheap strikers in the Premier League. The West Ham man stands at 6’4 [1.93] making him likely to be one of the tallest players on any pitch he steps on.
Arnie’s height coupled with his strength (87) makes him a force to be reckoned with in attack, as he’s able to hold up play, pass the ball to overlapping wingers (thanks to his 82 passing stat) and get into a position to receive a cross, all in one fluid motion.
