At Red Bull King of the Air 2026, a worldwide big air kiteboarding qualifier series, riders compete for the chance to secure a place in the final and challenge for the Red Bull King of the Air title.

4 Tour Stops

The hunt for the world's best kiteboarders never stops and Red Bull King of the Air extended its qualifying series with a new event at Balneario Beach in Tarifa, Spain.

The competition took place at Playa Balneario, Tarifa, on Monday 16th June 2025, with three rounds of heats during the Qualifier, each lasting 30 minutes.

A total of 18 riders competed in Tarifa: four received wildcard invitations, while the remaining 14 were chosen through the video contest.

The spot is located at the point where the Mediterranean and Atlantic winds collide, creating epic conditions for the riders to show they've got what it takes. The winner of the event earned a place at the legendary event in Cape Town at the end of the year.
