The FIFA 19 Eredivisie wonderkid XI you want to sign

These young players are the hottest prospects from the top flight Dutch league for your FIFA 19 Career Mode.

With Ajax pair Matthijs de Ligt and Frenkie de Jong expected to make big money moves sooner rather than later, it's clear that the Eredivisie is in good health when it comes to young talent. While the brightest of those players might be at a small number of clubs, if you're looking for a FIFA 19 Career Mode bargain who'll blossom in the future, the Netherlands is a great place to look.
The Ajax duo will set you back significant sums of money so we've taken the hard work out of your player search by selecting a starting 11 of players aged 21 or under who have the highest potential ratings in the division. Each one is available from the very first transfer window of a Career Mode game, and won't set you back more than €20m. In fact, half of them cost less than €10m.
The prices quoted are the ones we negotiated in the game so we know they're possible, but you might not be able to drive quite such a hard bargain. In that situation, try throwing in a sell-on clause and most clubs will accept lower transfer fees up front, knowing you might be looking to make a profit in the future.

Goalkeeper

GK: Justin Bijlow (Feyenoord)

Feyenoord's 1.9m stopper is far from the finished article, but his promising stats put him at the top of the pile when it comes to young 'keepers in the Eredivisie. 76 for kicking means he's a decent distributor of the ball, and 74 for both diving and reflexes make him a good shot stopper, although his positioning and handling could do with work. Feyenoord will want just over €5m for the 20-year-old, but he'll be ready for your bench at the very least. With the potential to reach 82 overall, too, it won't be long before he's challenging for the number one spot.

Defence

LB: Tyrell Malacia (Feyenoord)

With the pace of an outright winger, Feyenoord's Tyrell Malacia will give you an extra attacking outlet down the left. 85 for acceleration and 83 for sprint speed make the 18-year-old a match for almost anyone in a foot race, while 72 for stamina means he should only show signs of fatigue right at the end of the match.
He makes up for his lack of height with a jumping stat of 81, while 83 for balance and 80 for agility should keep him on his feet when dribbling. You might want to work on his tackling and crossing, but for a player of his age that's not unusual. With the potential to reach 80 overall, just over €1,000,000 should be enough to convince Feyenoord to let him leave.

CB: Perr Schuurs (Ajax)

Matthijs de Ligt might be set to leave Ajax in the near future, but the club has already got a potential replacement lined up in 18-year-old Perr Schuurs. Tall, strong, and good with both feet, he's already got 73 for standing tackles, and while 68 for sprint speed isn't lightning, he's not slow. Boasting 83 for shot power, it might also be worth a pop at goal if you find him in possession on the edge of the box. Having only joined permanently in summer 2018, Ajax aren't willing to sell Schuurs, but if you pay his €4.15 million release clause there's nothing the club can do to stop you talking to him.

CB: Maximilian Wöber (Ajax)

Slightly further down the line than Schuurs is Max Wöber, a hard working defender who combines pace and power with strong tackling skills to excellent effect. The 20-year-old Austrian, who can also fill in at full back if necessary, has 78 for strength, 77 for aggression, and 76 for sprint speed. With 75 for sliding tackles, and 72 for both marking and standing tackles also, this makes him a fairly formidable obstacle between your goalkeeper and the opposition's attacking players. Rated 73 at the moment, Wöber can reach 81 with the right training, and an offer of just over €6,000,000 should be enough to convince Ajax to let him leave.

RB: Noussair Mazraoui (Ajax)

Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui previously played as a midfielder, and that's clear when you look at his stats. 75 for ball control, 74 for short passing, and 72 for dribbling suggest a player who's comfortable on the ball, while 86 for stamina will keep the 20-year-old going right up until the final whistle.
That's for the best, because you'll want to use his 79 sprint speed, 77 for acceleration, and 83 for agility to get in behind the opposition, although his crossing could do with a bit of work. Tackling stats in the 60s aren't bad, but that's an area of his game that's worth improving, too. With the potential to hit 80 overall, his €6,000,000 price tag isn't bad at all.

Midfield

CM: Teun Koopmeiners (AZ)

A versatile and dynamic all-rounder, Teun Koopmeiners is the kind of player who's often underappreciated, keeping things ticking over in midfield without being flashy. Rated 74 overall, with the potential to reach 83, pretty much every single one of his stats is in the high 60s or above, with standouts including 80 for stamina, 75 for reactions and ball control, and 76 for vision and crossing. Essentially, Koopmeiners will run the game for you, with both a fierce shot for when he gets in range, and the ability to drop back into defence if needed. Offer AZ just over €14,000,000 for the 20-year-old, and he's yours.

CM: Guus Til (AZ)

AZ's Guus Til is listed in the game as a CAM, but if you look at his attributes he's probably better suited to breaking forward from a slightly deeper role. While tackling stats down in the 50s mean he's far from a ball winner, his rating of 90 for stamina means he can cover the ground effectively for more than 90 minutes if necessary. 78 for short passing and 77 for reactions also give him a good chance of keeping things ticking over in midfield. AZ know they have a player capable of reaching 82 overall on their hands, so you'll need to bid around €12.5 million to bag your man.

CAM: Donny van de Beek (Ajax)

Yet another technically gifted playmaker from the Ajax academy, Donny van de Beek has the strength, stamina, and tenacity to contribute further back, but with 78 for ball control, composure and short passing, plus 77 for vision, he does his best work just behind the forward line, looking to play passes into more dangerous positions.
With 77 for shot power, 80 for long shots, and 75 for finishing, don't be afraid to take a pop at goal with him either. Ajax will want around €13.5 million for the 77-rated 21-year-old, but before too long he can be reach up to 83 overall.

Attack

LW: Steven Bergwijn (PSV)

Despite being only 20-years-old, Steven Bergwijn has been one of the Eredivisie's hottest young talents for a while now, and having made over 75 appearances for PSV he's got the experience to back it up. Devastatingly quick, absurdly skillful, and outstanding while carrying the ball at speed, his strong crossing and finishing numbers mean his contributions often have an end product as well. Contributing both goals and assists from the left this season, his overall rating is only likely to rise, with the potential to hit 86 overall. Ignore the release clause, and offer PSV around €18,000,000 to secure his services.

RW: Calvin Stengs (AZ)

A product of AZ's academy, if injury hadn't ruled Stengs out for the whole of last season he may well have been rated more highly, but the 19-year-old still has plenty of talent to display. While not quite as blazingly fast as some wingers, he's still no slouch, with 79 for acceleration and 77 for sprint speed. It's his agility (80) and dribbling (76) that stand out for a player who's still only rated 69 overall, though. There’s obvious room for improvement, particularly with 50 for finishing and 65 for crossing, but considering he's got 84 for potential, and will only cost you around €2,000,000, Stengs looks like real value for money.

ST: Kasper Dolberg (Ajax)

Dubbed 'the next Zlatan' when he signed from Sweden in 2015, Kasper Dolberg hasn't quite lived up to that tag yet, but recent form suggests he shouldn't be written off. Quick, powerful and still only 21, Dolberg has a ferocious shot, plus he can hold the ball up and bring others into the play. A finishing stat of 76, 77 for composure, and the fact that he's good with both feet should mean that he'll put away his chances, too. Offer Ajax around €15,000,000 and you'll have a striker who can eventually reach 85 overall. Not quite Ibrahimovic at his peak, but not far off.
