No, we're not surprised that they're back, but we are stoked that we get to watch and scream our lungs out when our favourite riders make their way down seemingly impossible lines. The Freeride World Tour is kicking off in Hakuba, Japan this week and ends in Verbier, Switzerland in early April. The long quest to crown the four new champions is about to begin.
Throughout the season you can follow freeskier Paddy Graham to all Freeride World Tour stops as he provides face checks before the comps and meeting the best riders and most interesting rookies. You can also watch recaps of every tour stop, including the best runs, best POV clips and all highlights on Red Bull TV.

January 18-25 – Hakuba, Japan

The season opener is back in Japan again, offering deep powder and unique skiing in a picturesque environment. Traditionally, the FWT is held on steep and exposed venues, yet Japan offers a more playful take on freeride, with more trees than exposed cliffs or no-fall zones, and plenty of creative riding.
