I often use GoProcameras when I am messing around in the parks and want something that I can use easily whilst messing around filming mates. That’s because the GoPro is a handy camera that is easily transportable and the quality is pretty good for that task. Now is even better as the new Hero 3 Black edition is even better.
For those of you that are unfamiliar with GoPro I’ll get down to basics. The camera comes with a waterproof case and a variety of mounts. The Black edition comes with built-in Wi-Fi and has the ability to make 4k video resolution. Each camera in the new HERO3 collection features built-in Wi-Fi. It is also 25 percent lighter, 30 percent smaller and two times more powerful than the last GoPro models. The HERO3: Black Edition is able to capture ultra-wide angle HD video at 1080p-60 frames per second (fps) the ultra wide angle is perfect for getting close to your mates as they throw down in the park. It can also capture 12MP photos at an impressive 30 photos persecond.
When paired with the BacPac, you get a touchscreen LCD that means you can see what you are actually shooting. Meaning you don’t ever have to check the footage to see that you missed every single shot (which I have done in the past) the Bacpac is one of around 50 accessories that are. You can use the Wi-Fi controller that ships with the Model 3 black or you can also control the camera with an app for iPads or iPhones with an Android version on the way.
GoPro cameras have quickly become the camera of choice for snowboarders looking to make a quick and hassle free edit on the hill. They can be put in places other cameras cannot, yet they can do the same job as almost any other camera. With the new GoPro Hero3 Black edition it’s possible to get near broadcast quality and to add more interesting stop motion, time lapse and stills. It seems GoPro will continue to dominate the market for years to come. For more information go to http://gopro.com/cameras/hd-hero3-black-edition
