Round three of the 2025 FIA Formula 2 Championship unfolded at the high-speed Jeddah Corniche Circuit, offering another thrilling chapter in the season’s early battles. The Red Bull Junior Team trio—Arvid Lindblad, Pepe Martí, and Oliver Goethe -- faced unique challenges on the demanding street track, each leaving their mark with spirited performances.

Lindblad makes history with first F2 win

At just 17 years old, Arvid Lindblad became the youngest ever Formula 2 race winner with a sensational Sprint Race drive. Starting from P6, he charged through the field with calm precision — overtaking Minì with DRS on lap 3 and capitalizing on Martí’s Turn 8 mistake to move into second. Though he initially crossed the line in P2, a penalty for Verschoor promoted him to victory.
Really happy with the result today, youngest ever F2 race winner.

“A huge thank you to the team, a really good race coming from P6 to P1,” Lindblad said, displaying both humility and focus as he looked ahead to Sunday’s feature race.
He backed up his breakthrough with a points-paying P7 finish in the Feature, confirming his adaptability and early-season potential.

Martí takes another podium but wants more

Pepe Martí continued his strong form with P2 in the Sprint Race, battling hard and even taking the lead early with a bold move on Verschoor at Turn 1. A brief off at Turn 8 dropped him behind teammate Lindblad, but Martí fought back to reclaim second from Minì.
“To be honest, it’s a good result P2, but I’m not happy at all… I’m quite let down by my own performance.”
It’s good for the championship, but I’m not really proud of the result.
Pepe Martí
Martí’s determination paid off with another solid drive to P5 in the Feature Race, cementing his status as a serious championship contender.

Goethe gathers experience in the Streets of Jeddah

Oliver Goethe continued his steady progress with finishes of P11 and P14. While not in the points, the MP Motorsport rookie showed growing confidence on one of the calendar’s toughest circuits.
Completing both races cleanly was a step forward for Goethe, providing valuable experience for the season ahead.
