KTM Freeride E-XC might just mean the future of offroad is electric
Why KTM’s Freeride range is ahead of the curve when it comes to the present and future of electric powered motorbikes?
Here are eight reasons why the KTM Freeride E-XC might just mean the future of offroad is electric…
- The KTM E-XC is the first fully electrically driven motorcycle.
- It's lightweight. The steel-aluminium composite frame and subframe is made of high-strength polyamide.
- The bike weighs 110kg with its high voltage lithium PowerPack weighing 30kg.
- It takes about 110 minutes for a full charge, or about 75 minutes for an 80 percent charge.
- The PowerPack can be fully charged while still mounted in the bike by using the connector beneath the seat.
- The external charger can be connected to any regular 230V socket fused at 10A or 13A and is connected to the KTM PowerPack by flipping up the seat.
- Zero emissions means it's well suited to an urban environment as well as rugged terrain.
- It's easy to ride. There’s no clutch and the positioning of the rear brake on the handlebars make it manageable for experts and beginners alike.
