Fabio Leimer wins the feature while Sam Bird takes victory in a thrilling sprint race at Sakhir.
Leimer dominated the early stages of the weekend and qualified on pole position a whole second clear of the field. Things weren't so easy for the Swiss driver in the race though as he was fought all the way by championship leader Stefano Colleti.
Marcus Ericsson had a nightmare start, stalling on the dummy grid, his front-row performance in qualifying was all for nothing, as the swede was forced to start from the pit lane.
Leimer made a steady getaway and found himself under pressure from Colleti, the points leader challenging him early on but was unable to get passed. Both drivers pitted early and had to make some daring overtakes on Mitch Evans and Kevin Giovesi who were leading thanks to a longer first stint.
Coletti continued to push Leimer all the way to the finish but couldn't close enough, the Swiss driver taking the chequered flag by under two seconds. Next across the line was Caterham's Alexander Rossi, who took an impressive third place on his GP2 Series debut.
Felipe Nasr made a late charge after losing time in the pits to finish fourth ahead of Carlin team mate Jolyon Palmer.
The sprint race saw Sam Bird take the win by just 0.08 seconds after a thrilling final lap battle with Felipe Nasr.
Tom Dillmann, starting from the reversed grid pole, managed to keep Adrian Quaife-Hobbs behind him at the start, while Coletti made a lightning start from seventh to take third place by the first lap.
Bird, who had made a slow getaway from third, fought back on the first lap to pass Quaife-Hobbs and Coletti before closing in on Russian Time team mate Dillmann. Bird eventually came out on top before Dillmann lost a further two places to Coletti and Nasr.
As the tyres began to go off a titanic battle for the lead ensued with Coletti putting huge pressure on Bird. Coletti then made a big mistake in the final corner on the penultimate lap, allowing Nasr through to challenge Bird for the win.
Coletti continued to fall off the road, struggling with huge flat spots on his tyres while Nasr pushed Bird all the way to the flag. The Brazilian attempted a move on the final straight but it was too late, finishing behind Bird by just 0.08 seconds.
Coletti's fourth podium in four races keeps him top of the championship, ten points clear of Fabio Leimer with Felipe Nasr in third with 48 points.
