What are the key ingredients for making it as a top MotoGP star? Hear them directly from Dani...

Dani Pedrosa knows what it takes to make it all the way to the very top of the motorcycling game.
The MotoGP star has 26 grand prix victories to his name in the premier class, titles in the 125cc and 250cc categories and has bounced back from the inevitable doses of injury and disappointment that riding a beast of a MotoGP bike will inflict.
So, what does it really take to make it to the top and then stay there?
If anybody knows, Pedrosa does. Now in his ninth season in the MotoGP class – his 14th in the World Championship – the 28-year-old told RedBull.com what he believes are the essential components for a successful journey to the highest level.
An Iron Will
For me the number one thing is the personal will. That's the key completely
“You can have more or less skill than other riders, or have more of one skill than another, but you can try to work on this afterwards and focus on the weaker points. But the will moves mountains. This is the key for everything.
“Sometimes you don't come from a family that can do that, or a country that allows... but if you have the will you will find a way somehow.”
The Right People
This sport starts when you're very young, so you need to have someone around you who takes care of you
“You are not prepared to travel in the way the sport demands, and you're not prepared to handle the pressure of many things that are involved in racing.
“I think [it's very important] having someone next to you who teaches you about many different things and also warns you when you need to be warned.”
Allow Yourself Time
Take the time, physically
"The body needs the time. When you're young, it's important."

One Final Piece Of Advice
What people say isn't worth the time you'll spend thinking about it.
“You can use it as a motivation, in a way, if you're smart.
“You can be someone who's sensitive to that, or not sensitive, or somebody who takes it as a challenge.”
