For Jonathan Barragán, the 2011 MX1 racing season was somewhat of a triumph, as the Spanish star managed to complete his first full season since 2008.
Both 2009 and 2010 had proven to be two challenging seasons for Jonathan, with his on-track performances marred by injury and ultimately inconsistency. But after a promising start to 2012, in February a nasty hand injury threatened to once again put a dampener on Jonathan’s aspirations for the forthcoming season.
But within only a matter of days after a hospital trip and some down time for rest and respite, Jonathan bounced back, using the time wisely for some much-needed testing. A number of weeks on, Spain’s top MX1 rider is back in full force, ready to take on whatever 2012 has to throw at him.
Jonathan’s team LS Honda Racing caught up with him to find out how he’s been getting on since his injury, what it’s like to race with the CRF 450, and what his hopes and goals for the forthcoming season are. Check out Jonathan’s interview below.
