Who won what at Crankworx Whistler 2025?

Crankworx: Red Bull Joyride – Whistler

Riders perform their best tricks and stunts on a bespoke obstacle course in this fan-favourite contest.

Coming into this year's Red Bull Joyride finals, Emil Johansson's last win came at the 2023 edition of the contest. Since then, the record-breaking Swedish slopstyle king faced two seasons battling one injury after another, the most recent a broken collarbone and ribs suffered at Crankworx Cairns in May.
On the biggest and toughest course of the season, the 26-year-old showed that he's not only back to form, but perhaps better than ever. The very first rider to drop-in on Whistler's famed Bone Yard in finals, Johansson wasted no time and delivered the event-winning run right off the bat.

I’ve faced so many setbacks from injuries in the past that I was tearing up in the finish corral … I’m over the moon with happiness
Johansson was feeling emotional after his success, sharing: “It feels amazing to walk away with a fourth win at Red Bull Joyride. It was nerve-wracking coming into today with so much rain this week that limited our practice. I’ve faced so many setbacks from injuries in the past that I was tearing up in the finish corral after the first run today. I’m over the moon with happiness.”
Delivering a run that included a Half-Cab Tailwhip 180 to start, a huge 720 off the cannon jump, Suicide Frontflip and an Opposite Double Tailwhip off the final flat drop into the finish, Johansson scored a massive 91.00 points from the judges – a score that none of his rivals could get close to. It was his 14th Crankworx slopestyle victory in total.

The breakout star of the Crankworx World Tour in 2025, Tim Bringer, followed up his wins in Rotorua and Cairns with a impressive second place in Whistler. The Frenchman scored a big 88.65 on his second run after crashing on a Double Backflip attempt on his first run to secure back-to-back silver medals in Canada. The ever-present Erik Fedko rounded off the podium after stomping his first run to score 85.9, just edging 2024's Triple Crown of Slopestyle winner Dawid Godziek.
Earlier, in the Women's contest, Sweden's Alma Wiggberg dominated to win Red Bulll Joyride for the second year in a row thanks to a huge 91.4 score, comfortably beating Red Bull Rampage champ Robin Goomes and American Shealen Reno.

Elsewhere at Crankworx Whistler, Sunday's hotly anticipated RockShox Canadian Open Downhil finals was unfortunately cancelled due to heavy rain and fog, but earlier in the week American Richie Rude scored wins in the punishing 12-minute long Garbanzo DH and jump-filled Air DH, beating Ryan Gilchrist and Luke Meier-Smith in the Garbanzo DH while Tyler Waite and Dane Jewett joined him on the Air DH rostrum. The women's win in the Garbanzo DH went to young American talent Aletha Ostgaard, while New Zealander Jenna Hastings grabbed the Air DH victory.
Luke Meier-Smith also claimed the Elite Men's win in the event-opening OG CDN OPN DH, where Millie Johnset rode home with the Elite Women's win.

Crankworx: Dual Slalom – Whistler

Freeride, slopestyle, downhill and enduro riders battle it out in pairs in a race against the clock.

The Specialized Dual Slalom saw a final in the women's field between 2024 Queen of Crankworx Martha Gill and 2025's prospective Queen, Jordy Scott, with the American coming out on top to help her title cause. The Elite Men's final was an all-American affair that saw Dante Silva take the win from Austin Warren.

Crankworx: Pump Track – Whistler

Pairs of riders go head-to-head using just their bodies to propel themselves along a crazy course.

The 10-day event was closed out in fitting style with the finals of the Pump Track contest, which saw victories for Niels Bensink of the Netherlands and Czech rising star Sabina Košárková in the men's and women's finals respectively. Check out the full replay in the video above.

There was, however, a new face sitting on the Queen's throne with the USA's Jordy Scott improving on last year's runner-up spot to take the crown with 1,025 points. Sabina Košárková confirmed second after winning the last event of the series to finish on 734, while two-time Queen Caroline Buchanan of Australia took third on 671.

Last year witnessed history made on two fronts, as Whistler's famous boneyard saw Dawid Godziek score his first win here – his third of the season – to become only the third male rider in history to secure the coveted Triple Crown of Slopestyle .
Godziek, who won his first-ever Slopestyle World Championship gold medal earlier in the year at the Crankworx Cairns Slopestyle, followed that up with a huge win at the Crankworx Innsbruck Slopestyle and then delivered a stunning second run in Canada to claim victory.
After crashing on the final feature during his first run, putting his Triple Crown quest at stake, the Polish rider regrouped for his second run and threw down a world-beating performance that included a Cashroll Barspin, Twister Tuck No-hander and a 360 Superman Seatgrab Indian Air that scored a huge 96.6 points. This secured his Triple Crown of Slopestyle title after winning three Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship events in a season.

Winning the Triple Crown is so hard to do and finishing it here in Whistler is incredible
"I can't believe it, I'm so happy and can't thank everyone enough for the support. Winning the Triple Crown is so hard to do and finishing it here in Whistler is incredible," said the 29-year-old slopestyle veteran.
France's Tim Bringer took home the silver medal while Swede Max Fredriksson returned after an injury-riddled year to secure bronze.

The history of Red Bull Joyride

As Red Bull Joyride reaches its 10th anniversary, here’s a brief history of this iconic Slopestyle MTB event.

English

Whistler is arguably where the sport of slopestyle was born and took root, so the reverence given to Red Bull Joyride by competitors and spectators alike is no surprise. The event at Whistler Bike Park's legendary Bone Yard is the one that all the slopestylers want on their win sheet, whereas fans want to be among the electrifying atmosphere of mountain bike's most-watched event.

The thing that grabs people's attention, whether spectating or competing there for the first time, is the sheer size of The Bone Yard. No amount of videos you've watched or photos you've seen do it justice. You have to see it for yourself. Riding it seems fairly implausible, never mind doing so while throwing the crazy combinations of tricks the competitors perform.

What does the Red Bull Joyride course look like?

The course underwent a significant redesign in 2019 that was welcomed by competitors for its seamless flow and stripped-down features.
In 2022, one new feature, The Sphere, was added. The Sphere was the first fan-selected feature introduced to the Red Bull Joyride course. Fans had the chance to vote for their favourite feature created for Brandon Semenuk's edit, Realm, and The Sphere came out on top of the four features constructed for Realm. Elevated above a two-way Hip, the skatepark-inspired bowl acted as a puzzling crux amid the fast-flowing slopestyle course.
All-new Speed & Style and Dual Slalom courses debuted at Crankworx Whistler in 2023. Both are located in the Bone Yard at the base of Whistler Mountain, and they are sure to provide the riders with a testing challenge. The downhill course for the Canadian Open DH was updated a couple of years ago. Dubbed the '1199' in honour of the late, legendary Canadian downhill talent Stevie Smith and his historic 2013 World Cup overall title (culminating with 1,199 points), the trail is 2.5km in length and has three massive drops, is plenty steep and multiple line choices.
