Biography
A chance entry into the 2018 Trondheim Red Bull 400 set Erik Resell on track to become world champion at just 18 years old. Erik originally entered the competition to supplement his speed skating, but was instantly drawn in by the addictive nature of the race and went on to enter and win the Red Bull 400 World Championships later that year. For the Norwegian speed skater, the Red Bull 400 competition presents the rare opportunity to compete against athletes from various disciplines and nationalities. It’s the perfect balance of pain and fun, and while it remains a serious challenge, his extensive experience in speed skating has gifted him with the ability to fly uphill. Still, Erik was surprised to emerge the victor, but claims that varied training is the key to success; making the body stronger and reducing the risk of injury. He prepares for his speed skating with a diverse training regime, including running and cycling, alongside his passion for football. It’s clear that he has all the ingredients to build an astounding athletic career. This is just the beginning.
