Road cycling scouting programme Red Bull Junior Brothers is go for 2024

Pro cycling team BORA - hansgrohe and Red Bull continue their global road cycling scouting programme into 2024 as they seek to uncover the sport's newest talents.

German UCI World Tour pro cycling team BORA - hansgrohe and Red Bull are continuing their talent scouting collaboration aimed at finding the next generation of male professional road cyclists after a very successful first campaign in 2023.
Red Bull Junior Brothers specifically focuses on unearthing Under-19 riders, with pro contracts being awarded to two athletes that show the most promise. These riders will be placed in BORA - hansgrohe’s Under-19 development team, Team Grenke - Auto Eder. Additionally, the two chosen riders will be given a Red Bull athlete partnership deal.
The name Red Bull Junior Brothers has its origins in BORA - hansgrohe's racing motto: a Band of Brothers.

To compete for a chance to become a Red Bull Junior Brothers, participants should visit redbull.com/juniorbrothers to sign up. You will also need to be able to record rides on the indoor riding platform Zwift.
For the 2024 campaign, participants will have to tackle a Red Bull Junior Brothers Workout on Zwift that has been created in collaboration with Zwift and BORA - hansgrohe. This workout will then be monitored. The period to log in rides on Red Bull Junior Brothers Workout on Zwift starts on March 1 and ends on Apri 30, 2024.
To be considered for Red Bull Junior Brothers, participants must be under 19 years of age and born between 2007 and 2008.

At the end of the qualifying period, the top performing riders on the Red Bull Junior Brothers Workout on Zwift will be evaluated and from there, 15 athletes will be chosen to participate in a performance camp at Red Bull's Athletic Performance Centre between June 3–8. Following testing, two athletes will be announced as securing the pro contract and be signed to Team Grenke - Auto Eder at the end of the camp.

A successful first year for Red Bull Junior Brothers

Last year's Red Bull Junior Brothers programme saw 912 applicants from 72 countries, proving the project has a global reach to unearth junior cycling talent.
Patrick Casey (Ireland) and Anatol Friedl (Austria) were the two athletes who were awarded pro contracts at Team Grenke - Auto Eder in 2023. Casey and Friedl were part of the 12 selected riders who attended a performance camp test at the APC at the end of August.

BORA - hansgrohe in partnership with Red Bull announce the winners of Red Bull Junior Brothers 2023 after an intensive final selection week.

BORA - hansgrohe have a history of thinking outside the box when it comes to discovering new cycling talent. In 2020, they signed ski mountaineer Anton Palzer to the team after the German showed impressive numbers in training rides and measures like his V̇O₂ levels.
