Red Bull Photography highlights a number of amazing visual projects undertaken by the photographers who shoot around the world for Red Bull every year. One of them is Predrag Vuckovic, who used mobile creativity with Nokia Lumia to show flatland BMX in a whole new light with rising Spanish talent Alvaro Hernandez.
A former BMXer and now a renowed underwater photographer, Predrag wanted to showcase BMX in a unique light using two completely opposed elements in their project W2D – water and dust. To do so required the building of a bespoke water pool in Pregdrag's native Serbia that took 11 days to construct, using 15 workers, 14 trucks, 145 cubic metres of dirt, 25 cubic metres of sand and 15 cubic metres of concrete. And once the water shots were completed, the team had to drain and completely dry out the pool to a throw down the layer of powder used to create the ethereal images of Hernandez's silky skills.
