Go downtown on the streets of Chile to see the best action from the wildest urban DH race of them all.

Amidst a sensory overload like nowhere else, the sixteenth running of the Red Bull Valparaíso Cerro Abajo saw some of the planet's fastest urban downhill racers once again take to the steep streets of Chile's historic port city.

Check out Tomáš Slavík's winning run below and then read on for results and a full replay of the race.

The Red Bull Valparaíso Cerro Abajo is a tricky race to unlock. The track is very much a living, breathing thing. Assembled the morning of the race, practice runs are limited, which on a course this wild, is less than ideal from the racers' point of view.

Over the length of the nearly three kilometre track competitors face everything from riding right through someone's living room to jumping over a bus and dodging stray animals. If they can put all the pieces of the track together and unpick the lock though, there's speed to be found on the dusty tarmac. The list of past winners is littered with repeat victors and some big name first-time winners.

Filip Polc and Cedric Gracia were two such rookie winners, and for a few minutes or so this year it looked as though Kiwi rider Matt Walker would add his name to that list.

Sadly for Walker, though, Czech specialist Tomáš Slavík had other ideas. The former 4X world champion called on his sizeable reserves of horsepower to lay down a searing time after he'd already beaten his own course record in qualifying.

That run pipped Walker's by a mere 0.5 seconds, with local rider Matias Nuñez taking third, ahead of Giant's Marcelo Gutiérrez and Johannes Fischbach.
