“In my family, motorcycles have always been very present – my grandparents, my father and my cousin, all of them, have a passion for motorcycling. My passion comes from my father, who was a semi-professional competition rider. He participated in competitions in Castilla La Mancha, Copa Kawasaki, Mediterranean Championship, and more. For me, my father is and will always be my idol, that’s why I've always wanted to be like him.”
“Let me tell you my first baby steps. It happened one day when my father was training with his R1, and I stood up from my walker, grabbed the heater from his motorcycle, and went to "put" it on its wheel. So, as you can see, I was raised between wheels and, therefore, my passion started from a very young age. My father is a carpenter and blinds/shutters installer. He has always been by my side, he is the one who helps me improve both as a rider and as a person. He is essential in my daily life, providing me with the confidence of having someone to rely on if things don't go well. He always seeks the best for me, offering valuable advice that makes me ponder and improve in areas where change is really challenging.”
“My mother is also someone I need with me. She is a Wedding planner/Gift planner, she is my lucky charm, always aiming to bring a smile to my face even when no one else can. She is a very cheerful person who supports me whenever she can. However, the challenge is that she is a terribly busy person with little time to spend with me. That's why I appreciate making the most of the time together, turning it into cherished memories. My mother also shows interest in motorcycles, although she denies it. She used to ride motorcycles when she was young, and a few years ago, she got on an R6 in Montmelo and even her knee touched the ground; she is a fearless fighter.”
“During my spare time, I like spending time with my family. I have little time to enjoy with them. Besides that, motocross is one of my passions since I was a kid – it's a sport that I am passionate about. Cantabria is a land of fascinating landscapes with incredible places and views. To fully enjoy it, I go cycling with my father. I really enjoy it and if I can do it with my father, the experience is even better! My Favourite subject at school is English Language. In 2023, I've learned that the most important thing for enjoyment is being surrounded by the right people. You need a positive atmosphere to give your best. I've also learned that I must stay focused on my work, without distractions or anyone making my job more difficult.
“I want to be MotoGP World Champion as many times as I can and enjoy my career to the maximum, to follow the success of my hero Fabio Quartararo. One more thing I'd like to share is that on Saturday nights before racing, I am used to have a hamburger with my coach Oscar because I believe it will bring me luck on Sundays for winning races. Sometimes, it actually worked! Another amusing fact is that when I was little, the bike was too big for me, and I always got my foot stuck on the opposite side I was leaning on. It's quite funny when you look at the photos and see such a small child on such a large bike.”
“In 2024, I would like to win the Rookies Cup or at least compete for the title. I hope to achieve satisfactory results and enjoy this new experience in the Rookies. One of my best ever races was Portimão 2021. I had my opponent more than a second and a half ahead on the last lap, I managed to close the gap and finished right at the finish line so I eventually secured the second position. I can remember the adrenaline rush I felt in that lap pushing me to make up time when it seemed to be none, it was incredible.
I felt immensely proud after achieving the fastest lap on the last lap; I realised that I gave my absolute physical best. Another incredible race was Jerez in 2023 when I touched a teammate in turn 8. Then, I went wide and lost two positions, but I managed to overtake the two drivers ahead in the next turn. I fought until the last corner against another competitor, passed him on the outside, and secured the victory. It's a beautiful memory I'll never forget.”
“For me, by far, my best race of 2023 was at Montmelo because I endured a lot of pain during the race due to an injury I suffered. Nevertheless, I managed to be in the front group, fighting for top positions. I even led several laps of the race. Eventually, I had a collision with a rider, losing all positions and ending up in the last place. However, I was able to go faster than the rest of the riders while I was riding solo. I remember the entire weekend with pride, considering the pain from my injury and how I worked with my team. It strengthened my tenacity.”
“The tracks I enjoy the most, without a doubt, are those with elevation changes, like Portimão or Mugello. Additionally, I really like high-leaning corners that allow me to touch the elbow, lean the bike, and sometimes make it slide. This gives me satisfaction and triggers my adrenaline. What I love most about riding a motorcycle is the satisfaction of winning, seeing my family happy while I achieve personal fulfilment. It's also a great challenge against yourself during weekends when you must set-up the bike starting from scratch and completely transform it. I enjoy being focused on my work and find pleasure in the process. I am full of joy when my mechanics and family are happy; that's why I love winning.”

2024 Season
Brian Uriarte's 2024 campaign in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup was defined by a thrilling title battle, where he ultimately finished as the Runner-up in the overall standings, just two points shy of the champion. The Spanish rider secured three race victories during the season, winning events at Le Mans, Assen, and Misano. Beyond his performance in the Rookies Cup, Uriarte made a significant statement by also competing in the FIM JuniorGP World Championship, where he achieved immediate success with a race victory in his debut round at the Jerez circuit and secured a total of two podium finishes.
Brian Uriarte (#51) delivered a historic performance in 2025, completely dominating both major junior series and establishing himself as the premier young talent on the Road to MotoGP. His championship-winning season marked him as a record-breaker in two separate championships.
Uriarte displayed unmatched speed and consistency by simultaneously capturing both the 2025 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup Championship and the 2025 FIM JuniorGP World Championship. His success was immediate and sustained: he secured a total of seven wins and nine podiums in the 14-race Rookies Cup, securing the title early at Misano with one race remaining in the season. In the JuniorGP series, his dominance was equally evident, with five wins and two third-place finishes, which was enough to clinch that title with a round to spare. This dual-title performance is exceptionally rare and demonstrates complete domination over the junior classes.
Uriarte's overwhelming success ensured his immediate graduation. He was already so highly regarded that he made multiple substitute appearances for the Red Bull KTM Ajo team in the Moto3 World Championship during the 2025 season. His official promotion for 2026, joining the prestigious Red Bull KTM Ajo team, was merely a formality after proving his exceptional talent at every level of the junior racing ladder.
