About Me
Mateo's mother didn't want him to ride a motorcycle, so he started with BMX at home in Colombia. His father's brother raced, and later, his father secretly bought me a motorcycle, and so it began. Mateo started racing with a few outings in 2017, and the following year they moved to Spain, where it was much easier to follow his dream.

Early Carrer
He started racing MiniMotos, and in 2019, he was 3rd in a Madrid championship. His career stuttered, but in 2021, he was 2nd in the RFME MiniGP 110 series and 4th in the 110 Cuna de Campeones. He then really hit his stride, becoming the 2022 Moto5 Champion in both the RFME and Cuna de Campeones.

2023 - 2025 Season
Moving up to Moto4, he took 2nd in the Spanish Championship in 2023 and a year later was 3rd in PreMoto3. Stepping up to the European Talent Cup for 2025, he finished 7th.

“I like twisty tracks and one of my best races was at Magny-Cours in 2025. I started in 16th place due to a touch in Qualifying, which damaged the bike for Q2. At the start, right at the third corner, another rider fell in front of me and I had to cut across to avoid him, which caused the leading group to get away. I kept overtaking riders until I was leading the second group. The leading group was about 3 seconds ahead, and there were about 5 laps to go. I managed to close that gap and overtook a rider. It was a very fun comeback.”
