Welcome to Madars Apse's Latvian skate experience
Join us in the van as our good friend and Element pro brings Nick Garcia, Josef Scott, Pat Duffy and Gosha Konyshev on a Baltic demo crusade, skating collapsed sea defences and eating Mum's cooking.
Madars Apse is a proud Latvian. He is forever encouraging people to visit his country and experience what it has to offer.
This is no idle ‘Wouldn’t it be good if-‘ talk, either: being a bit of a polymath, Madars is involved in building the skate scene there in several ways - DIY park builder, architectural consultant, ambassador, event organiser and all that good stuff.
When a confluence of timing saw him scheduled to appear on Latvian national television to talk about this life and skate career just around the same time he was hosting some demo’s around the country, Madars flipped the whole idea to turn it into a fully-fledged skate trip the likes of which Latvia has never seen before.
Just because he can.
Madars organised all of this off his own bat to show everybody what his beloved Latvia has to offer inside of skating and out - naturally, we weren’t going to miss the chance to ride shotgun on a golden cavalcade like this and so here, from Madars to you, is the latest in our long line of unique skate sojourns.
Madars Apse and friends skate Latvia: let’s get amongst it!
