Meet Flawes: the London band making waves with their melody-drenched odd-pop.

Last year was an eventful one for Flawes. After supporting Ella Eyre on her UK tour, the trio found their melody-drenched odd-pop being hailed by major publications and radio stations alike. Right now, frontman Josh Carruthers and childhood friends Josh Hussey and Freddie Edwards are plotting their next pop assault.
In the meantime though, they've recorded live for Silverlake Sessions and continue to get props from BBC Radio One and KCRW. So before we lose the band to a world of recording and touring, they have put together an exclusive playlist for us. Here's what they have to say about it.
"Every artist in the playlist is doing something we really respect, whether it's the way they write lyrics and melody, their production, or the atmosphere the song creates. We see them all as songs that capture an emotion. Whether it's happy or sad it's not necessarily what we're feeling at the time, though.
"I think you're always influenced by the music you're listening to, whether that's consciously or subconsciously," Carruthers continues. "Sometimes the way a certain element has been produced in a song will spark an idea for us to approach something differently. Then we go off and interpret that in our own way."
