It’s all about the thrills in all-new open world game Steep and we bring you a sneak peek.
One of E3’s 2016 biggest surprises so far is Ubisoft’s announcement of the open world action sports title, Steep. The trailer gave us goosebumps and a surge of adrenaline that made us crave for more on Ubisoft’s new IP.
The game allows you the opportunity to choose between skis, snowboards, paragliders and even a wingsuit to explore massive mountain playgrounds, starting with the Alps, and followed by Alaska as a free update.
“Steep is a new breed of open world action sports game," creative director Igor Manceau tells us in our exclusive interview. “We wouldn’t qualify it only as a snow game. It’s larger in its scope, and even more different if you consider the whole exploration aspect of it."
If you think it doesn’t get any better, Steep isn’t just offering you the chance to explore and shred of the mountains on your own: it also gives you the opportunity to share your experiences with other players. You will be able to compete with your peers in tournaments, work together on amazing trick combos or just team up for a relaxing ride down the beautiful slopes.
Sharing means caring
Steep will also feature leaderboards, sports specific challenges and epic quests that will teach you more about its mountains secrets. Relive epic moments and lines by sharing them on social media. You will not only take on the role of an athlete, but also be able to direct your own action sports clip by deciding what angles, pace and speed make the perfect shot.
From what we can see, the current imagery looks amazing and we definitely can’t wait to get our hands on Steep.
Steep is expected to hit PS4, XboxOne and PC in December 2016.
