The story of Red Bull Bragantino began in 1928, with the founding of Clube Atlético Bragantino. The early years were anything but easy, but over time, the club carved out a respected place in Brazilian football history.
The early 1990s marked a golden era, fuelled by names like Gil Baiano, Mauro Silva, Vanderlei Luxemburgo and Carlos Alberto Parreira. Bragantino won the Série B title in 1989, lifted the São Paulo State Championship in 1990 and finished as runners-up in the Brazilian Championship in 1991. This remarkable rise put the club on the national map.
Yet, Bragantino knew that honouring the past wasn't enough – the future needed bold steps. In 2019, they took one, winning the Série B again and returning to the top flight of Brazilian football.
The following year marked a major transformation: the club officially became Red Bull Bragantino, with a clear mission to build a lasting legacy in Brazilian and international football. Since rejoining Série A in 2020, the team has consistently competed at a high level, finishing in the top 10 four times and enjoying a famous run to the final of the Copa Sudamericana in 2021.
The journey continues with ambition, talent and history in the making.
