Who were Dota stars’ top players of TI7?

The multi-million-dollar tournament is over – now it’s time to crown the best player of The International 7. See who top Dota players picked in our video.

TI7 is over and we have our new world champions of Dota 2: Team Liquid. Against an impressive array of dominant Chinese teams, KuroKy, Miracle- and co pulled off a stunning upset after being relegated to the lower bracket early on to scoop the biggest prize in eSports history: a US$10.9 million jackpot.
Of course, the Liquid roster weren’t the only stars of the biggest Dota tournament of the year. TI7 captivated us with gripping storylines, from the surprise run of LGD’s second team Forever Young to the early exit of TI5 winners Evil Geniuses. There were breakout stars aplenty, which meant that when we asked the players themselves for their MVP picks, there were no clear winners – as you can see in our video below.

We ask pro players who they felt the standout players of The International 7 were.

While Liquid’s Ivan ‘MinD_ContRoL’ Borislavov earns several mentions from pro Dota players as the star of TI7, several other trends emerge too. OG captain Fly gains several nominations for his strong leadership of the four-time Major winning team, while western and Chinese players alike plump for LGD/LFY and Newbee stars such as Ame, ah fu and Sccc.
