Join Lenny and Chianca on the day they shocked the world at Nazaré
Ride along with Kai Lenny and Lucas 'Chumbo' Chianca at the Nazaré Tow Surfing Challenge, when they showed the world that the future of big wave surfing is as bright as ever.
It was the right heard around the world. Kai Lenny, during the WSL Nazaré Tow Surfing Challenge, whips into a proper inside Praia do Norte peak, decides to fade right. He could have stayed high and taken the safer route to the shoulder. But that's not Kai. Instead he held the drop to the very bottom – a 20ish-metre wall behind him, throwing an avalanche of water.
Right on Kai and Chumbo's heels during the Nazaré Tow Challenge was Team Justine – Justine Dupont and her partner Fred David. Justine, along with Brazil's Maya Gabeira, were the event's two women competitors, and both put down some of the day's biggest rides. But Justine was simply on another level and, with a handful of huge Praia do Norte lefts, secured the Women's Wave of the Day honours.
In true Sessions form, we've brought you an inside look at a historic day of surfing – this is one you don't want to miss!
