The Arctic Challenge just finished up and there was some amazing halfpipe trickery thrown down. To land on the podium you need to have numerous double corks in your bag of tricks and you cannot be afraid of going big. Take a quick look at the top three runs to see just what it takes to step on the podium at one of the world's best halfpipe contests.
I-Pod puts together a heavy run to take the win. He throws down back-to-back 900's and back-to-back double corks on his way to first place. He has good style and is able to make the difficult tricks look good.
Yiwei Zhang was able to stomp three different double cork tricks to land in second place. This was an impressive run from the Chinese rider and it was good to see a rider pushing the double cork envelope.
Ayumu Hirano may be the only 14 year old who has back-to-back 1080's on lock down in the pipe. He always goes massive and he somehow makes difficult tricks look incredibly simple.
