Safari Rally Kenya 2026 highlights

  • Date: March 12-15, 2026
  • Location: Naivasha, Kenya
  • Surface: Gravel
  • Round: 3 of 14
Toyota Gazoo Racing's Takamoto Katsuta delivered his maiden WRC victory at Safari Rally Kenya, finishing 27 seconds clear of Adrien Fourmaux. With his victory, Katsuta became the first Japanese driver to win a WRC round since Kenjiro Shinozuka triumphed at the Ivory Coast Rally in 1992.
Starting Sunday’s final leg with a near 90 second advantage, Katsuta resisted the temptation to chase stage wins. Instead he carefully managed the rough terrain to secure victory and move up to third in the championship standings.
Despite finishing in 13th overall, Elfyn Evans remains top of the FIA World Rally Championship standings, eight points clear of Oliver Solberg and 11 clear of Katsuta.

Rally Sweden 2026 highlights

  • Date: February 12-15, 2026
  • Location: Umeå, Västerbotten, Sweden
  • Surface: Snow
  • Round: 2 of 14
Elfyn Evans secured victory at Rally Sweden, finishing 14.3sec ahead of team-mate Takamoto Katsuta, with Sami Pajari third as Toyota Gazoo Racing became the first manufacturer since Citroën in 2010 to claim back-to-back podium lockouts in the WRC.
Evans initially trailed Solberg after Thursday's opening stage but soon took command after winning stage two on Friday morning. Katsuta then moved into the lead during a chaotic afternoon session before Evans took control on Saturday and held his nerve on Sunday to claim the win.
Victory for the Welsh driver saw him claim top spot in the FIA World Rally Championship standings, 13 points clear of Oliver Solberg, while Toyota stretched its manufacturers’ advantage to 52 points over Hyundai.

Rallye Monte-Carlo 2026 highlights

  • Date: January 22-25, 2026
  • Location: Monte Carlo, Monaco
  • Surface: Asphalt
  • Round: 1 of 14
Oliver Solberg won the 94th Rallye Monte-Carlo, finishing 51.8s clear of team-mate Elfyn Evans, with Sébastien Ogier third as Toyota Gazoo Racing locked out the podium. Solberg became the youngest-ever winner of the event in the modern WRC era after leading from early in the rally.
The event lived up to its reputation with highly variable conditions: snow, ice, slush and rain created treacherous stretches across the French Alps.
In championship terms the win gave Solberg a maximum haul to open the 2026 FIA World Rally Championship, establishing an early lead in the standings and signalling Toyota’s strength in depth as the season moves on to the only pure-winter round of the calendar at Rally Sweden.
