Boho Baha Planning an Electro Swing Bash
Boho Baha is hosting an evening of swing, electronic music, and costumed fun. Welcome to the The Electric Swing Masquerade! A delicious spectacle of light and sound with performances that will amaze and astound! Slip into your most elaborate mask and finest dancing shoes for a night that will most surely satisfy your hunger for the spectacular.
The program features a carefully curated lineup of the best local talent, alongside what is arguably the world’s greatest electric swing act, The Electric Swing Circus. They’ll be performing a high energy live show of music from their first album and a few numbers from their, as of yet, unreleased album. During the event, there will be a mask/costume contest, and a swing dance contest.
In true Boho Baha Style, elaborate sets will be constructed that will dazzle and amaze audiences. Prepare yourself for an enchanting night of fantastic music, stellar sights, and astounding live performances.

The Electric Swing Circus is a 6¬-piece fusion of saucy 20’s swing and stomping electro beats. With an explosive sound that reverberates back through time, with their own unique style of swing the ESC always brings the party!
A full time, touring band on the international circuit, the ESC’s live set includes electric double bass, vintage samples, gypsy¬jazz guitar, keys, drums, synths and electro beats. Fronted by a sassy female double-¬act, the ESC delivers a consistently dazzling show. Their debut, self-¬titled album is available now on Ragtime Records.
The ESC line¬up features Laura Louise and Vicki Olivia (vocals), Chandra Walker (drums and keyboard), Tom Hyland (guitar), Rashad Gregory (samples, MPC & synths) and Patrick Wreford (bass & bass synth). Their eponymous debut album “Electric Swing Circus” was released in May 2013. After a big year of festivals and international touring in 2015, a new album is in the pipeline for 2016. Ladies and Gentlemen, hold onto your hats. The circus is coming to town!
The Hot Club of Bahrain is a Gypsy Jazz and Swing band ready to put on a rollicking show. Fronted by the duo behind La Pompe, Abdulla Haji on clarinet and saxophone, and Mohammed Rashid on Guitar, they’re joined on stage by a bassist and drummer.
Their music is inspired by the bouncy gypsy jazz sounds of Django Reinhardt, the southern grooves and melodies of Louisiana, and Swing music.
Captain Tea is an electronic musician, Dj, and a fixture on the music scene in Bahrain. He's a genre bender, who loves to groove out to funk, afrobeat, house, latin, and a sprinkling of jazz for good measure. For The Electro Swing Masquerade he’ll be busting out his secret stash of Electro Swing, and jazz influenced music. Rest assured, you won’t want to leave the dancefloor.
White Rabbits is a seasoned DJ who knows his way around a turntable. H e got his first taste for creating events in 1998. A regularly held underground house night incorporating live percussion with DJ performances. The project evolved into Twisted Disco which was held at The Fruit Cupboard in Call Lane Leeds and sparked the next phase of development hosting artists such as James Holroyd (Bugged Out), Terry Francis (Fabric London), Ralph Lawson (Back To Basics) Fred Everything & Random Factor (20:20 Vision) to name a few.
