Red Bull Quicksand is a 1-kilometer knockout beach race where competitors have to overcome giant man-made sandcastles. Did you know that running on sand requires 1.6x more energy than running on road? This concept forces runners to leave their comfort zone and push their personal limits.
Red Bull Quicksand is a 1-kilometer run combining the athletic elements of speed, endurance, and acceleration. Participants will be attempting to run man-made sand climbs as fast as they can.
The participants can pick up their numbers and gear on the 14th of November 2025, Marina Beach starting 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
The event is a game of skill. No element of chance will determine the rewards recipients.
The competition will be held on the 15th of November 2025 in Marina Beach, starting 8:00 AM with waves every 15 minutes for 6 qualifiers.
This year, the event will also welcome Thomas van Tonder, one of the biggest stars of obstacle course racing and a Guinness World Record breaker, bringing global talent to the competition.
The participation fee is 9KD – to be paid online through Suffix Events.
