Official Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) Tournament Rulebook
1. General Information
1.1 Scope of Application
These rules apply to all players, teams, coaches, and staff participating in official Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) tournaments organized by RedBull.
1.2 Game Version
All matches are played using the latest official version of CS2 on the Steam platform.
Use of any unofficial modifications is prohibited.
1.3 Language
The official language of the tournament is Arabic. All communications, protests, and reports must be made in Arabic unless otherwise specified.
1.4 Draw & Schedule
Qualifiers will be held in person at 4 different Network gaming centers (locations to be announced), from June 26 to June 29, 2025.
Finals will be held in person at THE ARC, King Hussein Business Park, on July 3–4, 2025.
One team will qualify from each gaming center (total 4 teams), and a new draw will be conducted for the finals.
1.5 Communication
All participants must join the tournament’s dedicated Discord server.
1.6 Restrictions
Teams must remain unchanged throughout the tournament.
No player/coach/staff can be registered after registration closes.
If any team member withdraws, the team may be disqualified.
Coaches or managers are not allowed to play under any circumstances.
Players or teams may only register at one gaming center.
1.7 Match Timing
Match schedules will be announced by the organizers at least 3 days in advance.
Rescheduling is not allowed unless approved by tournament administration.
Attendance must be confirmed before each match. Late arrivals may result in disqualification.
2. Team & Player Participation Requirements
2.1 General Requirements
Open to all residents of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
2.2 Age
All players must be 18 years or older at the start of the tournament.
Exceptions require approval from the organizers and a parent/guardian.
2.3 Team Composition
Each team consists of 5 starting players, with 1 substitute allowed.
Substitutions are only allowed between maps or in emergencies, with admin and referee approval.
2.4 Coaches and Managers
One coach or manager is allowed per team.
Coaches may only communicate with players during timeouts or between halves/matches.
Communication during technical pauses is not allowed.
3. Match Format
3.1 Tournament Format
Single Elimination bracket
Qualifiers and Semifinals: Best of 1 (BO1)
Finals: Best of 3 (BO3)
3.2 Game Settings
Mode: Competitive
Players: 5v5
Round time: 1:55
Freeze time: 15 seconds
Starting money: $800
Bomb timer: 40 seconds
Max rounds: 24 rounds (12 per side)
Win condition: First to 13 rounds
Overtime Settings
Overtime rounds: 6 rounds (3 per side)
Win condition in OT: First to 4 out of 6 rounds
Starting money in OT: $10,000 per player
Overtime rounds: Unlimited
3.3 Official Map Pool
The maps used in the tournament are:

4. Match Procedures
4.1 Map Selection
Maps will be selected using MAPBAN.GG during the finals.
For BO3 matches, maps are selected using the following PICK-BAN system:
BAN – BAN – PICK – PICK – BAN – BAN
4.2 Side Selection
A knife round will determine side selection unless an automated tool is used.
4.3 Technical Pause
Each team is allowed two technical pauses per match, up to 10 minutes each.
All technical issues must be immediately reported to referees/admins.
Officials may reject the pause if the reason is invalid or fabricated.
4.4 Tactical Timeout
Each team is allowed four 30-second tactical timeouts per match.
Tactical pauses can be used during freeze time between rounds.
5. Behavior and Discipline
5.1 Player Conduct
Aggressive behavior, hate speech (racial or religious), and unsportsmanlike conduct are strictly prohibited.
Cheating, match-fixing, exploiting bugs, or disrespecting the event/staff/players will lead to immediate disqualification.
5.2 Exploit Use
Using map or engine bugs is forbidden.
Any known exploitation leads to map or match loss, or even disqualification.
5.3 Watching Live Streams
Players are not allowed to watch live streams during matches.
Public broadcast streams must include a 120–180 second delay.
6. Equipment & Game Settings
6.1 Allowed Equipment
Players may bring their own keyboard, mouse, headset, and mousepad.
They are responsible for the quality and availability of their gear.
The organizer is not responsible for providing personal gear.
Monitors will be provided for LAN matches.
6.2 Game Settings
Players may customize brightness, resolution, and crosshair.
Use of scripts or macros is strictly prohibited.

9. Broadcasting & Media
9.1 Live Streaming
Players may stream with a minimum 3-minute delay, and only after official approval.
Broadcast rights are owned by the organizer; unauthorized streams are not allowed.
9.2 Media Coverage
Participating teams may be asked to attend photoshoots and media interviews.
10. Administration and Arbitration
10.1 Authority
Referees and admins have full authority to make final decisions.
In case of disputes or unforeseen events not covered in the rules, the Dispute Resolution Committee will make the final decision.
Officials may modify rules as needed for fair competition, without prior justification.
Protests must be made during the match by the team captain. Post-match objections are only accepted in exceptional cases at the referee’s discretion.
The administration is not responsible for scheduling conflicts if a player registers for multiple tournaments.
Participation implies full acceptance of all tournament rules.
10.2 Protests
Objections must be filed within 15 minutes after match end.
Only team captains or coaches may file objections.
Protests must be submitted during the match unless exceptions are approved by referees.
