It looks amazing, and ever since its announcement last night, we cannot stop thinking about how revolutionary and game-changing Google’s Stadia gaming platform appears to be. The tech giant has always been at the forefront of innovation and technology, and there’s no doubt it has raised the bar for gaming companies around the world.
Here is a teaser in case you missed it:
So just what is Stadia? So far, we know it is a cloud-based gaming service that allows you to play video games without ever owning a disc or even console. Everything is handled via the Internet, basically.
While there’s still a lot of questions revolving around it, we do know enough from the reveal that it sure has everyone excited. Don’t believe us?
Stadia offers a host of cool functions and perks for gamers; here are some of the main features we’re loving.

1. Goodbye, console!

The first thing people will notice is that in order to play games on Stadia, you won’t need any sort of gaming console. No need to hook up a clunky piece of hardware or wait for your device to boot up.
Stadia allows you to play games directly from its cloud-based data centers. Google’s new gaming service also features no downloading or installations which a lot of people complain about when it comes to other digital gaming services. You’ll be allowed to jump right into a game whenever you feel like it!
This sort of instant access to an elite gaming platform which features AAA games is unprecedented.

2. Graphics won’t be compromised

With cloud-based gaming services, it’s somewhat usual to experience lagging issues or a decrease in graphic quality. This sort of problem won’t exist at all according to Stadia’s developers and testers.
It is reported that the computing power behind Google’s cloud infrastructure is equivalent to having a PS4 and XBOX 1 combined into one console. In fact, Stadia is apparently capable of playing 4K HDR graphics at a rate of 60 FPS! Cloud-based gaming has never looked so beautiful.

3. Game wherever you want

With no console, you can play whenever, wherever (just don’t annoy your managers by doing it at work though, yeah?).
Stadia allows gamers to play across any screen: TV’s, computers, tablets, and even phones! Basically, if you are using a device that can play video then you’ll be able to play Stadia.
You can even play cross-platform multiplayer or split-screen using two separate devices on the same game!

4. Hello social life

Who said you need to lock yourself in at home to play games? Stadia comes with tons of social features and functions to keep you connected with friends and other gamers around the world. Google wanted to create a platform that allows people to play, watch and create video games all from one place, and they’ve absolutely nailed it with Stadia.
Additionally, the system has been designed to work seamlessly with YouTube – look out for the cool feature where you’ll be able to watch others play a game on the video-sharing website.
Excited? We bet you are!
But here’s the slightly annoying part. Stadia won’t arrive in the Middle East this year. According to Google, Stadia’s release date is set for “some time in 2019”, starting with the US, Canada, the UK and Western Europe. There are plans to expand to other regions from 2020.
Google wanted to give more power to its developers by offering a singular platform for them to work while providing tons of computing power and graphics capabilities, so Stadia is a powerful gaming platform that isn’t just for gamers, but for developers too!
It has been designed to become a growing platform that will allow developers to continue building on its power, and because everything is cloud-based, updates will roll in continuously.
Prices of course are TBC, but what we know for sure is that Stadia is the future of gaming and it *will* take the world by storm.
