In 2025, Red Bull Hardline returned to Machynlleth in Wales, UK, for one of the world's toughest downhill mountain bike races. Riders pushed their limits to conquer a brutal course with massive jumps, drops and technical challenges.

On the weekend of July 26 - 27, Red Bull Hardline returned to Machynlleth in Wales, for what is known as one of the world's toughest part-downhill, part-freeride mountain bike races. 32 riders pushed their limits to conquer a brutal course with massive jumps, drops and technical challenges.
As well as testing the competitors to their limits, Red Bull Hardline has also gained a well-earned reputation as an event that pushes the progression of the sport.
Since its inception, world-class trail builder Dan Atherton has levelled up the jumps, gaps and sections, creating a more intense and extreme track for the riders to tackle year on year. Unlike any other MTB course, the Red Bull Hardline UK track borrows elements from motocross and BMX, so as well as speed and stamina, riders will lean heavily on their freeride, dirt jump, and big air skills (think the iconic Road Gap, and over 55ft of airtime).
You can watch the Red Bull Hardline Wales 2024 replay for all of the previous year's action.
Red Bull Hardline Wales is an invite-only event for the most progressive male and female MTB downhill riders in the world. Check out some images from 2024 below:
