The third event on the FMB World Tour kicks off on Thursday with Teva Slopestyle taking place in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Teva Slopestyle is now in its second year and has been given Silver event status on the FMB World Tour.
The course, which is set on a dirt ground car park in Queenstown, is co-designed by Kelly Mcgarry, New Zealand’s number one mountain bike freerider. Tom Hey, who has worked on many of the most prestigious slopestyle courses including Crankworx in Whistler and Colorado, has also been involved in the design.
You can watch Kelly Mcgarry go through a walk-through of this year’s Teva Slopestyle course in the video player above. The clip is from the guys at Bikeland.co.nz.
Riders attending Teva Slopestyle include top names such as Cam Mcaul, Kurt Sorge and Sam Pilgrim plus a host of local Australian and New Zealand talent.
The competition will see each rider get two runs at the course with the best run determining the podium places.
We’ll have the results and a brief report of events from Queenstown on Red Bull Bike shortly after Teva Slopestyle has finished.
