Tony Cairoli, Ken Roczen, Marvin Musquin, Ryan Dungey, Jonathan Barragán, José Butrón and Jorge Prado, among others, visited the Valdemorillo track this morning, the place where, in less than 24 hours, they will compete in the Red Bull Give Me Five event.
This will be the first edition of this race that gathers the movers and shakers of the international motocross in Spain for the first time. “I’m really looking forward to riding tomorrow. This is a different competition, with a brand-new format that makes the starts paramount. We, the riders, will have a lot of fun, but the audience will have the most fun, for sure,” said Italian legend Tony Cairoli, multiple times MX1 World Champion.
From early Saturday morning, the rumbling of the engines will start soon after the doors’ opening at 10am, as the free practices will start only half an hour later.
The riders will familiarise non-stop with the track for the next three hours. Some of them, like Barragán, Butrón, Prado or Musquin, have trained in the track this morning. “I have a great feeling about the track, it’s mind-blowing,” said Prado, the youngest of the riders at Valdemorillo today, who will be the rider of reference in the 85cc class.
The competition will start at 3.30pm. In the morning training session, there will be 6 wildcard slots at stake. These six riders will complete the 15 that will fight for glory in five-lap races of five riders each, an innovative format that will guarantee amazing action all the way through the event.
