Why he rocks: He’s a national triathlete
He started running at the tender age of 9 when his dad (who was a runner & triathlete) took him to MPSJ on Sunday evenings to join a track session conducted by Pacesetters, a running club. A passion for running was born and he took part in his first triathlon at the tender age of 10! Later on in his teens, he represented Malaysia in the Junior Elite category (ITU races) and never looked back since. Edwin even partook in 2017’s National Championship last March in an attempt to qualify for the 2017 Kuala Lumpur Sea Games, but unfortunately, he came in at 6th place (top 3 to qualify). However, there’s a lot more to expect from this young champ this year as he trains hard for the ASTC Triathlon Asian Cup that will take place in New Taipei, Osaka and Palembang later this year.
