The second edition of Red Bull Kronplatz Cross lived up to its billing as one of the world's toughest team ski-cross events last weekend.
The teams assembled in South Tyrol, Italy, and were faced with a bamboozling 820m-long course featuring 12 impossible-looking curves and far too many obstacles to safely navigate on a ski slope. But this is Kronplatz Cross – nothing is too out-there for these skiers.
In the end, it was Team France, comprised of Jonas Devouassoux, Bovolenta Arnaud and Jean-Frédéric Chapuis, who beat Team Switzerland and defending champions Team Red Bull to first place.
