The adventure in the glacial valley of ‘The Books’ continues with the True Color Films crew and the guides David Biner, Sean Clawson and Gary Richardson.
After an afternoon riding session, the sun goes down and the true winter camping experience begins. The cold becomes intense and everyone struggles to find the best way to stay warm. It’s also the first real winter camping trip for DBK, Stephan Maurer and most of the crew, which makes it even more exciting.
However, when you're in ‘The Books’ you don’t care about the freeze dried food or the lack of showers and when the cold becomes unbearable, you just zip up the sleeping bag to wait until the sun comes out the next day.
In our video you will see what it's like to wake up in one of the most beautiful places on earth and how we are getting ready to enjoy it.
This time it’s Gary and Sean who choose an extreme line, where a lot of snow fluff comes down – but at the end it’s all happy faces and high fives.
They say it’s not about the destination, but it’s about the journey, and in Alaska this saying earns a whole new meaning: every step can become a challenge in itself.
At the end of the episode you‘ll see why we say that this was the journey to find another perfect line.
