A native of Catalonia, Spain, Pol Tarrés began his journey in the world of trials riding, where balance, precision and throttle control are everything. His early success in the sport, including a Junior Spanish Championship title in 2011, reflected a strong competitive mindset.
Coming from a family with deep roots in motorsport - he’s the nephew of trials legend Jordi Tarrés - Pol had both the foundation and the hunger to explore new ground. In recent years, he's transitioned from trials to the world of hard enduro and rally raid, making a name for himself by competing in both aboard a massive 700c twin cylinder Yamaha Ténéré.
In 2024, Pol claimed a major career milestone by winning the Morocco Desert Challenge, taking six out of eight stages while riding a twin-cylinder Yamaha Ténéré 700. It was a historic achievement, marking the first overall victory in the event for an adventure bike of that class.
That same year, he set a Guinness World Record for reaching 6,756m above sea level – the highest altitude ever reached on a twin-cylinder motorcycle. The ascent took place on Ojos del Salado, the highest volcano in the world that straddles the border of Argentina and Chile, and highlighted not only his skill as a rider but his ability to plan and execute extreme expeditions.
In between all that he's also been redfining what's possible in the world of hard enduro by taking on – and conquering – infamous races like Red Bull Romaniacs and the Erzbergrodeo aboard that Yamaha Ténéré 700. What Pol can make that giant do on terrain where 300cc two-strokes dominate has to be seen to be believed.
Off the bike, Pol has an eye for film. The Seeker was his film series which combines riding skill with jaw-dropping landscapes and a visual style that's as dialed as his throttle control. He’s also gained recognition for his involvement in community-focused initiatives and humanitarian projects.
