Time to get your game on for Ragnarok! Meet last years best female in the snowboard category.

With 300 participants of 28 different nationalities, there’s no doubt Red Bull Ragnarok 2015 will be one for the history books! And since this bunch of kiters will spend four fantastic and intense days together, why not get to know some of them a bit first?

First up is Linn Jorstad. If you’re curious about the event, or Hardangervidda and Norway in general, this is the girl to talk to! Linn is a Haugastøl-regular. She kites there every weekend during the winter, and has participated in Red Bull Ragnarok in 2011, 2012 and 2014. Last year she won best female in the snowboard category, so the pressure to repeat this success is definitely there.

– I really look forward to this years event! Not necessarily because of the race (I like to say that I’m not a competitive person), but more because it’s so nice to hang out with all the kiters, says Linn.
Her main goal for the season has been to do a railey on snow, and after spending every weekend practicing, she nailed the trick in January! Now the plan is to participate in VAKE, a long-distance snow kiting competition in March, and then hopefully succeed in defending her title at Red Bull Ragnarok 2015.
– When I won last year I spent five hours on the board, it was a lot of fun, but I got really tired too. I remember thinking “this has to be the most exhausting thing I have ever done”. Despite the physical challenge it's a really great chance to experience and enjoy the scenery!

After Linns first kiting class five years ago, she was hooked, and has spent all her money, holidays and weekends kiting ever since.
I love the Red Bull Ragnarok concept and the fact that it gathers so many kiters in one place. Hardangervidda is my home course, and it makes me proud to show kiters from across the world how great of a playground it is!
She adds: – I can’t complain about the After Party either. It’s not every day you have the chance to party with that many great kiters!
