Top 5 indoor bike parks in Sweden
Here are 5 of Sweden’s best indoor BMX and skateparks for riding bikes this winter.
Swedish Slopestyle riders like the 4x World Champion Emil Johansson and legendary Martin Söderström are known for their technical riding style and ability to make the hardest of combos look easy. Part of that is down to having spent countless hours hiding away from the Swedish winters practicing their bike skills at indoor BMX and skateparks.
In the words of Emil himself: "You perfect the basics on this stuff: it’s small and nimble and you don’t have time to adjust too much. You have to be perfectly on it every time".
And it really does wonders for your bike skills - pro or beginner: practicing jumps, pumps and tricks will sharpen your riding technique and will benefit you once you get to hit trails and jumps outside again. So don't be afraid of taking your riding inside this winter. To make the transfer from outside to inside even easier, we've listed some of Sweden’s best indoor halls for riding below. Enjoy!

2. Robbans BMX & Skatehall
- Where: Heby; between Uppsala and Sala
- Instagram: @robbansbmxoskatehall
- Facebook: @robbansbmxochskatehall
“What makes our hall unique is the size of the ramps. It’s one of a few in Sweden where they are of actual international competition standards. As for the setup, the hall has got several box jumps and spines as well as quarterpipes and vertical walls. You can mix it up pretty well, as most ramps are placed so that you can transfer between them. We also have a foam pit and a box/quarterpipe resi setup.” - Jacob Nedler, Robbans BMX & Skatepark

3. Hofors X-Park

- Instagram: @hoforsbmxoskate
- Facebook: Hofors X-Park
“Riders who come here always say that our park has got good flow between all the features. We have a big street area as well as a foam pit and lots of different line choices. We try and change the features up as much as we can, so there is always new things and new lines to ride.” - Susanna Magnusson, Hofors X-park

4. Capital Bike Park
- Where: Huddinge, Stockholm
- Instagram: @capitalbikepark
- Facebook: @capitalbikepark
- Website: http://www.capitalbikepark.se/
“We’ve been running the hall since 2005 and the ramps are designed after the international standards from that year. The hall’s setup is bike-specific with a couple of street ramps, a park area and a mini-ramp. Hopefully we’ll get our new resi box jump and resi wallride up and running this winter. What’s cool about this place is that it’s made by riders for riders.” - Andreas, Capital Bike Park.

5. Drakstaden Skatepark
- Where: Sundsvall
- Facebook: @Drakstadenssk
- Website: http://www.drakstaden.com
“What’s special about Drakstaden Skatepark is that we constantly change things up and riders seem to really appreciate that. Another good thing about this place is that there is something for everyone, no matter what you ride, as we have two different areas in the park section – a transition area and a street area. They are both completely new this year.
The transition area has hips, bowls, wall rides, vert walls, spines, box jumps, step-ups and quarterpipes in all kinds of sizes. The street area is also fully packed with features, such as bank hips, small quarterpipes, a big manual pad, a flatcurb and rails. And the best thing about it? You can connect lines between the two areas so you have a tone of line choices and lots of space to be creative.” - Mikael Frisk, Drakstaden SSK.
