Red Bull Wololo V: Enthrone, the epic 1v1 Age of Empires II Definitive Edition competition that pits the world’s best players against each other in a custom version of Empire Wars has been concluded. It was the fifth and final chapter for 2021 – the biggest Red Bull Wololo tournament ever seen – with a grand final in Germany that included a medieval theme and more alongside the incredible LAN event, bringing the story to an epic conclusion. Red Bull Wololo V: Enthrone was the fifth and final chapter of 2021 which concluded with a medieval themed LAN grand final at the Castle Heidelberg on 19th September. The 14 best players in the world faced off in an epic 1v1 Age of Empires II Definitive Edition competition in a custom version of Empire Wars. The story came to an epic conclusion live on Red Bull Twitch and Youtube.
This year’s event included a medieval theme and an awe-inspiring LAN Final at Castle Heidelberg in Germany which offered players around the world the opportunity to take on the biggest stars in Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition.

TheViper started his path to victory with a second place standing in the group stages, only dropping a series to Liereyy, his final rival. In the playoffs, TheViper kept the winning momentum with a 3-1 victory and a resounding 3-0 in the semi-finals going into the final best-of-7. The grand final was truly a battle for the ages which culminated in a full 7 game series. Although Liereyy proved to be a worthy opponent, in the end, TheViper persevered to take the Red Bull Wololo V: Enthrone championship title.
Red Bull Wololo V fortified the success of all previous events in the series. Red Bull Wololo I began in 2020 and viewership and participation increased as the storyline evolved. Red Bull Wololo IV came to an exciting five-day conclusion in June 2021, with 40,000 peak concurrent viewers and over 1,000 Age of Empires II players signing up for the Last Chance Qualifier. Now the world’s highest ranked Age of Empires II stars from around the world returned for the final chapter and an unforgettable LAN event.
