The event will take place in Vancouver, Canada and marks the largest monetary prized esports event in the world and the unofficial world championship in Dota2.
RedBull.OG has faced serious challenges in both 2017 and 2018, resulting in roster changes and consequently weaker performances over the past months.
The team did not manage to qualify for the International by traditional means, and had to fight trough an Open Qualifier, in which every European based organisation or team, professional and amateur, could register for the ultimate chance to win the last European ticket for The International. After The Open bracket, RedBull.OG had to face the European invited teams in order to win a Group Stage, that ultimately turned into another Double Elimination bracket.
In total, RedBull.OG played and won more than 20 matches in order to qualify.
They went without a single defeat in the whole qualification process, which looked as follows:
