If you’re an avid League of Legends player, you’ll surely know about most of these hidden buffs and secrets. But if you don’t know the game 100 %, these tips can definitely up your game! At least a little bit. Some of the secrets are only cosmetic. But not less fun! We all love the easter eggs, secrets, hidden gems and hidden lore. And League of Legends is full of them. References to family ties, famous rivalries, impacts on the Fields of Justice during certain events. Do you know them all?

Rivalry between the police and a madwoman
If you are familiar with the lore, you might know that Jinx, Vi and Caitlyn share a past. Whenever Jinx is in an opposing team to Vi or Caitlyn, they all receive the cosmetic buff Catch me if you can! Jinx also gains 1 extra gold when she kills Vi or Caitlyn, and vice versa. A little good old fashioned cop vs criminal.
Web engines are all represented
Discriminating to none, League of Legends has put in all the most popular web browsers in the game - as skins to characters. Have you ever thought that Foxfire Ahri somehow represent Firefox? Or Explorer Ezreal? Maybe Chrome Rammus? Yep, they're all there.

Bugs hate Cats? Cats hate bugs?
There are many rivalries in League of Legends. Jinx vs Vi/Caitlyn and Plants vs Zombies to mention a few, but none so (un)obvious than KhaZix vs Rengar. Whenever they are in an opposite team and kills one another, a buff happen. When Rengar buys Bonetooth Necklace and KhaZix uses all of it's upgrades, a quest called The Hunt is On! appears. If KhaZix kills Rengar first, it's granted another evolution upgrade. If Rengar kills KhaZix first, his Bonetooth Necklace upgrades to The Head of KhaZix, which grants him full permanent stacks.
Nature is love, nature is life
The nature lover Zyra has a bitter rivalry with Sion, the Zombie, because Plants vs Zombies, of course. They both get 2 extra gold when killing each other. However, Zyra also has two hidden passives. Whenever Zyra and her plants are targeted by Leona's Sunlight ability, they all grow a little. Also, when Maokai is in Zyra's presence, he gains increased movement speed. Pretty cool, right?
You need to wear sunglasses

Leona can surely brighten your day. If you character has sunglasses it will take one less damage from her Sunlight ability. Glad you're wearing your glasses today, huh?
Gingers have no...?
When a character dies on the Fields of Justice when Thresh is close by, it'll drop a soul for him to collect. However, the game developers couldn't help themselves to put in a rather famous joke in the game. While characters who have a mount usually drops one soul each, one for the mount and one for the rider, Sejuani and Bristle only drops one soul. Because? Well, Sejuani is a ginger...

Cassiopeia is a snake charmer
Our favorite poisonous gal', Cassiopeia, can manipulate the Fields of Justice in more ways than one. Have you ever thought that the river between the two teams seem a little... crawly? That's because it's full of snakes! However, when Cassiopeia is alive and kicking, the river snakes are nowhere to be seen. That's because they're all in her hair! If she dies, they'll return to the river.
Ninjas are loners
There are a bunch of ninja skins in League of Legends. And true (?) to their ninja code, they prefer to work alone. At least to not cooperate with another ninja. If another ninja is in your team you both loose 1 health. As weird as it is true.
Nidalee is just the nicest - if you are on her team

Nidalee is the woman we all desire
Nidalee is not only a great character, she's also an amazing support. To the lower leveled allies in your team, her passive cougar ability (get it?) gives them +5 exp every 5 seconds as long as you are near her. These kinds of peculiars are partly why League of Legends is such an amazing game.
It's not easy being small, particularly if you face a giant shark
Even in death, you might not be left alone. At least if you're facing the trickster Fizz. If you are killed by Fizz's ultimate, and you're one of the smaller framed heroes, the shark will not only chomp you, but devour your body too.
