The Top 64 competitors are set for the finals in Minnesota. A historic 18 of them are American.
After two days of fierce qualifying racing at Red Bull Crashed Ice, the grid for the Top 64 at Saint Paul, Minnesota, has been set. And in the second stop of the four-round 2014 season, an unprecedented 18 of the Finals-bound skaters are Americans. In 2013, 13 cracked the top 64.
That means you, the American ice cross downhill fan, has nearly a third of the competitors to root for in the big show, including Cameron Naasz, the local hero from Minnesota who placed eighth. Naasz finished 3rd last year in Saint Paul.
Join the 100,000 spectators, live, as the final 64 attack the course four at a time at speeds exceeding 40 mph, starting at 6:45 p.m. on Saturdary, February 22nd, at the Cathedral of Saint Paul in Minnesota.
