From the second you push play on Animal's QSS 6 above, it's an all-out assault on the streets. The rapid-fire clips play out into yet another amazing display of riding brought to you by the Animal crew, who have pushed the leading edge of street riding since day one.
The man at the Animal helm, Ralph Sinisi, gave us a few insights into QSS (aka "Quick Shit Series") and what they have on the horizon. Check it out below...
Red Bull Bike: So the latest QSS video finally dropped today; tell us about it.
Ralph Sinisi: I love them all, but this one is another level of insanity. The main riding parts in QSS6 are Mark “Ratkid” Gralla from NY and Benny L. from England. Each of these parts is already a classic. Both of them show levels of control, tricks, and spots that are all their own. Each rides with a very different style, and that’s what makes street riding and Animal what it is -- many styles combined to form one brand.
The team is a bunch of lunatics who find every nook and cranny of every city and make crazy stuff happen on their bikes.
There is a Chocolate Truck Crew section from around the Philadelphia area, edited by Ryan Navazio. This section compliments the whole video ridiculously. They grew up riding with Animal and their section shows this, while taking it to this whole new level. Along with these sections, everyone on the team kills it. Look out for some ridiculous superman moves by Tom White and Mike Hoder that are straight jaw-droppin’.
Is there pressure to break out the newest "Animal Video" considering that your previous titles like Animal 1, All Day, and Can I Eat? were so important to street riding?
Our videos have always showcased what our team has been up to at that point in time, and each video is so amazing and stands the test of time because of our team riders. The way [editor] Bob Scerbo puts all this riding together is all his genius. You can see that his style of editing has continued to evolve along with everyone’s riding skills.
We’ve had the rawest street videos from day one. The team is a bunch of lunatics who find every nook and cranny of every city and make crazy stuff happen on their bikes. That has always been how we roll and will not change.
What else is in store for 2014?
We’re ready to get the year set off right by dropping QSS6. Besides the video we’ll keep doing what we have done to make the company be the real brand for riders that it is. We have some great new parts on the way and as always we’ll be out riding and documenting it.
