“Had you asked me about cliff diving five years ago, I would have laughed. I didn't even like 10m,” Aimee Harrison recalls from her beginnings. “Genevieve Bradley - my blessing and curse into this lifestyle! I owe it all to her persuasive personality.”
Single appearances in both 2019 and 2021 yielded 9th and 7th place finishes respectively for the self-proclaimed diving late bloomer, who only started after she had turned 15 and specialised in 3m springboard. In 2022, the proud Canadian finally secured a sizeable run of competitions, appearing at four out of the eight overall stops.
Despite three of them being below-par displays, Harrison did offer fans a glimpse of her true potential when she secured a career-high 5th place in Oslo. Having missed out on a podium spot by just 15 points in the Norwegian capital, the 29-year-old couldn’t quite build on that promising display last season, earning a pair of 9th place finishes in 2023.
Besides her diving performance, the trained behavioural analyst can help everybody understand the nature and habits of the typical cliff diver better. Invaluable insights guaranteed!
