Antonia Abraham and her siblings are putting Chilean rowing on the map with impressive performances at international competitions. Antonia is one of four quadruplets and competes alongside her sister Melita, while her brothers Ignacio and Alfredo also represent their country on the world stage.
Antonia and her siblings started rowing thanks to a chance invitation from a friend of their brother Ignacio. While still in primary school, Antonia first went along to the lakes of the Regatta Club in Concepción, near her family home in San Pedro de la Paz. It was the first step on a path that's taking her around the world with her oars in hand.
Outstanding performances at the 2018 South American Games saw Antonia take W1x gold on her own plus further golds in the W4x, W2x and the W2- competitions with Melita. There have also been encouraging results in Europe, including silver at the Rowing World Cup, plus a slew of Pan-American Games medals of every colour.
