For most, confidence is something learned through years of experience, but Bergen was born with it.
In the world of college volleyball, where each serve can tip the balance of a game, Bergen is the embodiment of composure and brilliance. Hailing from the heartland of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Bergen's journey to becoming an icon for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers is a tale of unwavering dedication, incredible resilience, and a passion that ignites every match she graces.
From the moment she first stepped onto a volleyball court, it was clear that Bergen Reilly was destined for greatness. Growing up in a volleyball-obsessed family, Bergen’s older sister was her biggest competition, both in the gym and at the lake. That sibling rivalry grew her love for the sport, and developed an innate understanding of the game which has become her greatest asset.
Bergen’s career accolades stretch far above the net. From starting on her high school varsity volleyball team as an eighth grader to, most recently, commanding her offense to be a national title contender in the NCAA Women’s Volleyball Final. At 18, she was called up to Team USA’s Olympic-level team, and the following year was the first freshman ever to be awarded Big Ten Setter of the Year. Bergen’s drive for winning is contagious, and has proven to be a crucial role in Nebraska's in-system offense.
Off the court, Bergen Reilly is a role model and source of inspiration for many young fans. Her dedication extends beyond her athletic achievements: she is deeply committed to progressing the growth of the sport and the well-being of her team. Her presence is one of encouragement, kindness, and support, embodying the spirit of teamwork and camaraderie that defines the Cornhuskers’ program.
With a delicate touch & a fiery spirit, Bergen stands at the forefront of an extraordinary legacy in the making.
