David Cánovas Martínez started uploading content to the internet when he was 14 years old, and five years later he founded the esports Team Heretics together with fellow streamer Gorgoo.
In 2020 his YouTube channel reached 15 million subscribers and now he counts more than five million on Twitch. His community is not unlike a medium-sized country with more than 30 million people across all his channels and social media accounts.
In 2019 he was nominated candidate to the Game Awards – the Oscars of the videogame industry – in the Content Creator of the Year category.
One of his biggest achievement is achieving a Guinness World Record on January 11, 2021, when he presented his own skin in Fortnite in front of more than 2.4 million live viewers.
When Cánovas Martínez isn't creating content on Twitch or YouTube he's playing sports, specially cycling, skiing, riding motorbikes or going to the gym. 'Sound mind, sound body' is one of his mantras.
He uses his social media profiles and channels to support social causes and charity projects with some crazy performances. In the summer of 2020 he started the Calvo Games crowdfunding project to provide support during the pandemic. Joining forces with sports personalities such as footballers Sergi Roberto and Antoine Griezmann, and with the help of the top content creators, the initiative raised €100,000.
Eventually Cánovas Martínez also cut his hair and auctioned it, raising €38,000, which he donated to the children's charity Fundación Pequeño Deseo. He streamed the cut and broke the record for a Spanish-speaking channel with more than half a million viewers.
