Orienteering runs in Judith Wyder's family; as a child in Zimmerwald, in Switzerland's Bern canton, she could read orienteering cards by the time she was just seven years old.

It is therefore no surprise that Judith would go on to become a world-class orienteer, winning five World Championship gold medals and six golds at the European Championships. She would also claim World Cup bronze and European Championship silver in 2018 after the birth of her daughter.
