In 2025, at the World Aquatics World Cup in Italy, the brave German executed the hardest dive in the women’s competition – with a 5.0 Degree of Difficulty – to announce herself as a diver to watch out for.
Following in the footsteps of many great cliff divers before her, Halbisch comes from a gymnastics background, where she was competitive from the age of six to 15 – even becoming German team champion in her early teens.
The 20-year-old now gets the chance to prove herself from the World Series platform, just like her brother and role model Manuel did back in 2019. In fact, it was his coach (now her coach) who persuaded her to begin cliff diving after she quit gymnastics.
Her aims for this year are to pass her university exams and to “represent myself in the best possible way” as a cliff diver.
