Manon Loschi describes her introduction to freeriding as an accident. She was trying it out just for fun at her local club when her home resort of La Clusaz hosted a junior freeride contest. After her coach convinced her to enter the competition, she ended up placing fourth and really enjoying the experience. She decided to spend more time training her freeride technique and entered her second competition, which this time she won.

Excelling as a junior

Success in junior competitions saw Loschi join the Qualifier section of the Freeride World Tour in the winter of 2021-22. In her first season as a Qualifier, she finished fifth and came back the following winter full of determination to do even better. What followed were wins at the famous Verbier and Nendaz stages and overall Qualifier victory.
This result brought with it an invitation to compete at the elite-level and test herself against the world's best.

Making history

Having secured a place on the Freeride World Tour, Loschi immediately showcased her undeniable talent and in 2024, earned three podium finishes. She also became the first-ever female to attempt a double backflip in a big mountain competition.
Not slowing down, Loschi took first place at the inaugural YETI Natural Selection Ski event in Anchorage, Alaska, in 2025. Making her the first-ever Natural Selection Tour Ski women’s champion.
Away from competition Loschi can be seen playing a major role in Coline Ballet-Baz's film Recipe. To get herself in the zone the French skier listens to an array of hip-hop artists, including Nas and Mobb Deep.
